viral rash...

we have a check up appointment at the hospital tomorrow - 2 weeks after the last appointment. which is great, because G appears to have a viral rash! We discovered it yesterday during bath time when having stripped him off, we saw spots, and spots and spots on his tummy and his back!

First thought was 'oh no, it's chickenpox'... (followed by: 'how many meetings do I have next week that I can cancel??'). So we rang NHS direct (who were very busy but still called us back after 3/4 hours, at about midnight!?) and then rang our surgery who had an emergency number and they rang us back after half an hour. They confirmed it wasn't meningitis (thank God), and they also didn't seem to think it was anything to worry about as typical G, he was still bouncing about, and being generally quite cheerful.

They told us to watch to make sure his rash didn't get worse. And it didn't (or hasn't).

So, I guess it's a viral rash. We'll confirm it tomorrow at the hospital.
