food...

that G eats... include chicken with sweet potato and apple (his current favourite), chicken casserole (leek, carrot, potato, chicken), and lots of food at the nursery including cheese scones, fruit, yoghurt, petit filou and various vegetable combinations, and fish pie!

Didn't think I'd like making food for him, but it's great and it's my mission every week or every half a week to make up a batch of food for him which we freeze and take out every day for him. He's on 3 solid meals a day and his meals typically look like this:

Breakfast: breast fed, then cereal (or currently, super porridge with apple and apricot from Plum) http://www.plum-baby.co.uk/baby-food-range/#Four%20grain%20super%20porridge%20with%20apple%20and%20apricotTitle
We mix that sometimes with a fruit puree pot.

Off to nursery (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays) where he eats a mid-morning snack of fruit and yoghurt (I was told that they'll give him an extra pot of yoghurt because they think he's hungry and that's why he's upset! - hm).

Lunch: Currently, home made chicken with sweet potato and apple (or whatever the nursery feeds him, last friday being fish pie!) plus yoghurt or fruit puree.

then breast feed (depends on what time I get down to the nursery during my lunch break!)

Tea: mid-afternoon tea. At nursery he gets scones, or biscuits. At home, he gets biscuits, or fruit.

Dinner: home made chicken with sweet potato and apple (this week's menu!)... or Plum's Parsnip, carrot and cheddar mash http://www.plum-baby.co.uk/baby-food-range/#Parsnip,%20carrot%20and%20cheddar%20mashTitle or any other variation. Plus yoghurt or fruit puree.

Before sleep: breast feed.

Sounds like a lot, huh? I think it's alot - but seeing how much he moves, I'm sure he'll eat more if he could. At the moment, he's eating about 100/120g of food (size of a small jar) plus dessert. And tonight, he had home-made cheese onion bread. Which he completely enjoyed chomping on! yum yum!

ok, gotta go have my bath. Before baby needs his feed!

ps: If we're feeding commercial food, we go for Ella's Kitchen http://www.ellaskitchen.co.uk/, Plum http://www.plum-baby.co.uk/, Hipp Organic http://www.hipp.co.uk/, Organix http://www.organix.com/ or the Boots Organic Range. We feel they're the best and so far, touch wood, he's taken to their tastes!
