G's first parents evening...

at the nursery! It was held on Wed 3rd June, and we were the first ones to meet Paula, his keyworker.

It went well, heard that G was a placid baby (I was horrified at first, then realised that she meant 'serenely free of interruption or disturbance' - from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, as opposed to 'complacent/'sian-ji-puah'!! ), who was quite happy to get on with things. That he enjoys listening to stories - that he actually sits and listens now as oppose to wandering off after a few minutes. That he loves to eat (oh, we know that!). That he was very happy getting his nappy changed (WHAT?! that's never been the case at home!). That he was quite happy going off to sleep by himself on the mat (again, WHAT?!?! That's never happened at home!).

Oh well... Good to hear that he's very happy and contented at nursery, and that he's progressing very well too. We got to see his folder that they keep all about him, and there were a couple of 'developments' that indicated that he was beyond his age group (my child, gifted?!! lol...). Nah, we're just happy that he's happy there.

Well done G on a very good parents evening report!
